 To represent India in Olympics and international tournaments tremendous efforts, tenacity and commitment is required.
To bring this dream in reality , Aniket Koparkar, of Pune is working hard for this. Just in a seven years span, Aniket has backed a position Two in Indian Ranking (Sub Junior - Under 14 Group - in year 2001) and presently India No. 2 Juniors - Under 17 Group.
His carrier in table tennis began at the age of nine.
In hardly fifteen days after starting Table Tenis, Mr. Surendra Deshpande (Chief coach - Sharada Sports Centre Pune) could make out that he had great talents required for this game.
During the first year itself, Aniket was selected to represent Pune district in state levels.
He was the youngest player ever selected from Pune district.
Next year he won five out of six competitions of district level in cadet group. Due to this achievement he got a chance to represent pune on state level in cadet group (under 12) and in sub junior group (under 14).  Seeing his performance in state level, he was selected for national level tournaments to represent Maharashtra at Indore.
In 1999 his career prospered.
He won all the matches of district level in cadet group (under 12) and in sub junior group (under 14).
In 2000 Aniket became a seasoned TT player playing comfortably at district and state level.
Seeing his performance the great international player Sunil Babras showed his desireness to give him proper guidance.
Daily 5-6 hrs. he is practicing under the guidance of Mr. Surendra Deshpande and Mr. Sunil Babras.
Taking training under Mr. Sunil Babras, a person of strict discipline was the best part. Mr. Rohit Chaudhary and Mr. Bhushansingh Thakur are also his coaches cum practice parteners.
In 2001, Aniket has become a star TT player of Maharashtra State who has jumped upto India no.2 in sub junior group in only one season.
 Year 2002 and 2003 Aniket dominated District and State Levels in his age group and one above and also dominated his age group at the National Level. He made a successful appearance in an International Circuit and bagged Two Gold and more than Five Silver Medals at the International Levels..
He always receives encouragement from Maharashtra State Table Tennis's president Mr.Rajiv Bodas and secretary of MSTTA Mr. Prakash Tulpule.
Mr. Anand Jog is a renowned Builder of Pune City and has a company in name of Darode Jog & Asso. Pvt. Ltd. He is a close friend of his Father and always encourages Aniket and motivates him to make Table Tennis as a carrier. He always acknowledges his slightest success which is a great boon for Aniket.
Seeing his interest in table tennis Aniket was sent to Mr.Nikhil Gadre & Mr.Upendra Mulye for training at Sharada Sports Centre Pune in the year 1997 - 98.
 FAMILY:
Dr. Vinay Koparkar, his Father, is Doctor by profession. Being a sports man, he has keen intrest in developing Aniket as a Table Tennis Player and is inspiring him to take it as a carrier which is rear in India
.
Mrs. Shubhangi Koparkar his Mother is Prof. in Abasaheb Garware College, one of the renowned college in Pune city and teaches Micro-Biology for almost 22 years.
Sister Kavita is a F. Y. B. A. student learning in Ferguson College, Pune. Recently she ranked 8th in Merit List for 12th standard. She is a National Basket ball player and has a desire to become an Indian classical singer.
Entire family believes that its a combined effort and dedication of the family which will make Aniket a great Indian Table Tenis player in the future.
